For many years, Lewis and Lewis has provided cognitive and language assessments for various government disability programs throughout Victoria. Our services, however, are not limited to Victoria, as Lewis & Lewis is an approved provider of cognitive assessments to Department of Education and Children's Services (DECS) schools in South Australia.
The assessment service in Victoria is typically for students who are suspected of having significant and ongoing problems and who may be eligible for funding to enable them to receive additional support at school. We assess many students who are referred to us with significant language problems, suspected intellectual disability or are thought to be on the autism spectrum. These assessments are usually administered at the student's school and feedback to parents and school personnel is normally provided immediately after the assessment.
All assessments are performed by qualified and experienced personnel. Reports are delivered promptly and contain practical recommendations for both parents and teachers.
Lewis & Lewis also provides cognitive and language assessments privately referred by parents, schools or self-referred adults.
